Bogomil Zhivkov graduated from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia in 1971, majoring in Sculpture. He has participated in numerous international and national exhibitions. Winner of a gold medal from the International Sculpture Biennale dedicated to the work of Dante Alighieri - Ravenna, Italy 1988.
Zhivkov focuses on the idea of beauty in art, love, relationships between men and women, and family. He is excited by universal human themes, such as creation, the universe, the struggle between good and evil, the unity of the two opposites.
He materializes these ideas in plastic art, expressing them through the harmonious balance or opposition of plastic volumes, through the play of light and shadow, through the rhythm of the smooth and rough texture of the material.
Modeling the form, the author strives to express it from the inside out, filling the volume to the maximum, embedding inner experiences in it. The realization of a work is often accompanied by a lot of anguish and doubt
