"Salon of Galleries" is a project through which the National Palace of Culture aims to stimulate and expand domestic and international contacts in the field of visual arts, thereby enriching the cultural life of the capital and the country by becoming an annual forum. The format provides opportunities for experience exchange, networking, and expanding development, mobility, and market possibilities for artists in Bulgaria. By participating in it, the represented galleries will have the opportunity to assert their presence and gain new stages for presenting the authors and trends in art that interest them. One of the main ideas of "Salon of Galleries" is to bring to the forefront the issues of the art market and the promotion of young artists in Bulgaria.

The ambition of the NDK is for Sofia to become a creative center for the exchange of cultural models and practices through "Salon of Galleries," and to become part of the European cultural calendar for contemporary visual arts. This will provide opportunities for lasting interaction between artists and their audiences, address the issues of private galleries, and provoke international dialogue and exchange of experience between Bulgarian and foreign specialists, which is very important and necessary for Bulgarian culture.
