The mosaic “Dionysian Feasts” is a significant example of conditional-spatial works, especially widespread in the late 70s and early 80s of the 20th century. The mosaic enriches the architectural space without disturbing its structure and impact. The depicted space is conditional, divided into two planes. The background is emphasized shallow, and the forms in the foreground are heavy, highly plastic, built through contrasting chiaroscuro. The lack of halftones categorically divides the form into two halves – illuminated and darkened. The presence of light and dark strips of tesserae, performing the function of highlights and column shadows, enhances the plasticity of the depicted.

The Dionysian ritual includes singing and dancing choirs, as well as processions.. The participants in the Dionysian procession willingly transformed themselves into the legendary companions of the god, the satyrs, by wearing a special costume – bearded, chip-nosed masks, goat skins with a tail around the hips and an artificial phallus.
