"THE INDEPENDENT SPIRIT OF SOFIA" AWARD WILL BE LAUNCHED FOR THE FISRT TIME

On Sunday, November 1 is the final of the sixth edition of the annual festival of independent American cinema So Independent. For the first time at the festival will be given the "Independent spirit of Sofia" in the category " Best Documentary " and " Best Film ". The ceremony starts at 19:00 at Lumiere Cinema. The prizes, made by the famous artist Stefan Nikolaev, will be given personally by the Director of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) Miroslav Borshosh , Deputy Mayor of Sofia Dr. Todor Chobanov and founder and festival director Jana Karaivanova.

After the ceremony is the exclusive Bulgarian premiere of of the film "September in Shiraz " - the first American film entirely shot and implemented by Bulgarian teams, starring Adrian Brody and Selma Hayek as the tape will be presented by one of the producers Les Laudan.

Partners of the sixth edition of So Independent - Sofia are: Sofia Municipality , Ministry of Foreign Affairs , NPC Zaytgayt Ventures.
