OPEN ACCESS TO QUALITY MUSIC FOR EVERYONE IN NDK

A mixture between talented young people, music and touch to the different experience for everyone, regardless his social status will be performed at the first concert “Music for everyone” in NDK on July 30th. It will take place at Hall 7 at 7 p.m. and will be with free admission.

45 minutes the artists will perform pieces in different languages (Bulgarian, Russian, English, Spanish, Italian, German and French). Every song will be presented according to the age of the children in the audience. It is open to all kids and their parents; children from Sofia social organization will also be invited.

Organizer is the international Live Music Now that already has an office in Bulgaria. Their mission is to work with institutions, musicians and disadvantaged citizens and to organize regular concerts in educational institutions, medical and social centers.

The performing musicians will be Svetlina Stoyanova (mezzosoprano) and Kristina Yorgova (piano). Both are students at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and are part of the team of Live Music Now in UK; they are specially trained to perform quality music in front of specific audience.

“We gladly discovered that the mission of Live Music Now Bulgaria, that provides free access to music to everyone and stimulates young artists, coincides with the main aims of you institution – the National Palace of Culture”, wrote in a letter to the executive director of NDK Mr. Miroslav Borshosh the president of Live Music Now Bulgaria Mrs. Valentina Grozdanova. The letter is in occasion of the meeting between Mr. Borshosh and the NGO earlier this year about the opportunities for co-operation.

Live Music Now is the biggest organization in UK that organizes live music performances to enrich the social, educational and health sector. It was founded more than 35 years ago by the famous violinist Yehudi Menuhin together with Ian Stoutzker. Live Music Now annually organizes more than 3000 music events for more than 200 000 persons all around Europe. It already has offices in Germany, Austria, Denmark, Holland and many others.

The members of Live Music Now believe that their cause will attract private and government organization to support the events.

 

MORE ABOUT THE MUSICIANS:

Svetlina Stoyanova (mezzosoprano) and Kristina Yorgova (piano) are currently students at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Svetlina was a soloist of the Children’s choir of the Bulgarian National Radio and had many performances all around the world. Even now she participates in opera and concerts and is laureate of many contests.

Kristina started her musical education in Germania, but later on moved to Bulgaria. She also is a laureate of many contests.

From 2013 they work as a duo and in August 2015 will perform at a concert at the Scottish National Gallery in Edinburgh, organized by Live Music Now Scotland.
